The messages list currently provides the detail most users want to see, which is the time messages from today came in, then the date of previous days' messages. As of now, there's no way to modify that. 

That said, I've changed this to a feature request. I do know that some clients offer day/time in their messages list, so perhaps it's something we can explore for a future release.

That would be useful.  Getting 30 emails from a client or vendor in a day and trying to figure out what ones came in after a certain time, we would not have to click on too many emails to determine it. It would help save time and if ever needed for something like court, we can provide a single list of all of the emails in order with date and time.  One of our previous vendors is famous for sending out "emergency" or "critical" emails at like 4:50pm and expecting a response first thing in the morning - "I sent you the email yesterday"
